Тhe 10th Conference of the Association of Hirudologists is the next meeting of leech scientists and practitioners of the post-Soviet area with its rich traditions and achievements in leech biology and systematics since Metchnikoff, Kovalevsky and Livanow. International participation is highly appreciated. The scope of the conference is the biology and applications of medicinal leeches (Hirudo sp.) and other leech species used for medical purposes. The conference will be held in Kharkiv, Ukraine on 1st - 5th October, 2012.

Official languages of the conference are English, Ukrainian and Russian.
